How is a stanza similar to a paragraph?

Stanzas in poetry are similar to paragraphs in prose. Both stanzas and paragraphs include connected thoughts, and are set off by a space. The number of lines varies in different kinds of stanzas, but it is uncommon for a stanza to have more than twelve lines. Have a nice day!

The main difference between Paragraph and Stanza is that the Paragraph is a a portion of text composed of one or more sentences and Stanza is a grouped set of lines within a poem. ... Some stanzaic forms are simple, such as four-line quatrains. Other forms are more complex, such as the Spenserian stanza.

Hope I helped, have a good day! :)
