Here’s another question

Mrs Loh had enough money to buy either 8 pears or 12 oranges. She spent all her money on these two different fruits. If she bought 6 pears, how many oranges did she buy?

4 pears because she bought half the amount of oranges so it would be 4

Answer:

9

Explanation:

Hi, so when she brought 6 pears, she had two less than the actual number. I would put this in a group of four like (2, 4, 6, 8) and from this she bought 3/4. Now do the same for the oranges, put them in a group of four (3, 6, 9, 12) and only get 3/4 of it because it has to be the same as the pears. The answer is 9. I'm sorry if you don't really get it <3
