1) To determine the arc length, C=2•pi•r, C=2•pi•3 = 6pi•(40/360) = 2/3pi in or ~2.09 in The sector is 1/9 of the circle The Whole circle is 9pi (pi•r^2). Therefore the area would be 3.14 sq in
2) To determine the arc length, C=2•pi•r, C=2•pi•6 = 12pi•260/360 = 8-2/3 yd. The sector is 13/18 of the circle The Whole circle is 36pi (pi•r^2). Therefore the area would be 26pi sq yd or 81.68 sq yd
3) To determine the arc length, C=pi•d. C=pi•8n = 8pi•135/360 = 3pi cm or 9.42 cm The sector is 3/8 of the circle The Whole circle is 16pi (pi•r^2). Therefore the area would be 6pi or 18.85 sq cm
