C) Election
Technically speaking, the U.S. is NOT a strict democracy. It’s actually what we call a Democratic Republic. The idea behind a Democratic Republic is that it takes aspects from (no surprise here) a Democracy and a Republic. The Democratic part is where the citizens of the nation actually vote for something in their government. Now, they’re not actually voting for bills or new financial plans in government, they’re voting in representatives to do that for them, hence the Republic part. These voted representatives will represent their constituents’ views and ideas in government and run the day to day operations.
