16 lbs divided by 3 equals 5 1/3

5 1/3 times 2 equals 10 2/3 lbs

When dealing with fractions, take the starting number, in this case 16 lbs, and divide it by the bottom number of the fraction, which is 3. This gives you 5 1/3. Then you have to take this new number, 5 1/3 and multiply it by the top number of the fraction, which is 2. That is how you end up with the answer if 10 2/3 for a final answer
