SOLUTION

Given that:

  • Edge of the square pyramid = 14 unit
  • Slant height of the square pyramid = 25 unit

To Find:

  • The height of the square pyramid.

We know that:

In pythagoras theorem.

  • H² = P² + B²

Where,

  • H = Hypotenuse = 25 unit
  • P = Height = Let x
  • B = Base = 14/2 = 7 unit

Finding the height of the square pyramid:

⇒ H² = P² + B²

⇒ (25)² = x² + (7)²

⇒ 625 = x² + 49

⇒ x² = 625 - 49

⇒ x² = 576

⇒ x = √576

⇒ x = 24

Hence,

  • The height of the square pyramid is 24 unit
