( -b±√(b^2-4ac) )/2a

To use it, plug in the a,b and c values.

ax^2+bx+c

In this case a is equal to 2, b is equal to -7, and c is equal to 3

plugging it into our formula gives us:

(-(-7)±√(-7^2-4*2*3) )/2*2

Which is equal to:

7±√(49-24) / 4

= 7±√25 / 4

=7±5 / 4

=2/4, 12/4= 1/2, 3
