Answer:

A square root of a number is a value that, when multiplied by itself, gives the number. 6 · 6 = 36, so a square root of 36 is 6. You are probably curious why I said a square root and not the square root. - 6 · - 6 = 36. - 6 is a square root of 36. The symbol is √ which always means the positive square root.

√1 = 1

√4 = 2

√9 = 3

√16 = 4

√25 = 5

√36 = 6

√49 = 7

√64 = 8

√81 = 9

√100 = 10
