Answer:

8: 73.2 cm

10: 738 mm

Explanation:

8: A= 12.2 (4.5 + 7.5) / 2 --> 146.2 / 2 = 73.2 cm

10: A= 36 (22 + 19) / 2 --> 1,476 / 2 = 738 mm

Answer:

8: 73.2

10: 738

Explanation:

Area of a trapezoid =
A=(a+b)/(2) h

where a and b = base lengths and h = height

For #8

These are the given dimensions

Base 1 = 4.5

Base 2 = 7.5

Height = 12.2

All we have to do is plug in the values into the formula

So....

A=(4.5+7.5)/(2) 12.2\\4.5+7.5=12\\(12)/(2) =6\\6*12.2=73.2

Hence the answer is 73.2cm²

For #10

Once again all we have to do is plug in the values into the formula

A=(22+19)/(2) 36\\22+19=41\\(41)/(2) =20.5\\20.5*36=738

Hence the answer is 738
