To do this we have to find the greater number, 100%=40 Questions. So then x=40, By dividing equation 1 by equation 2 and noting that both the RHS (right hand side) of both equations have the same unit (%); we have.
(40)/(x) =(100)/(85)%

Again, the reciprocal of both sides gives
(x)/(40) =(85)/(100). And x=34. So 85% of 40=34
