Answer: X=0

Explanation:

Data: 9x-7=7

Step one, Add 7 to both sides

9x-7+7=-7+7=9x=0

The reason you do this is that your trying to isolate x so by adding 7, you get rid of the -7 right by 9x and since what you do to one side you do to the other, you add 7 to the other -7 as well to get 0

Step two, Divide by 9 on both sides

9x/9=0/9=x=0

The reason for this is that your trying to isolate x and by dividing by 9, you take out the 9 next to the x. However what you do to one side you have to do to the other so you divide 0 by 9 as well

Answer: X=0

I hope this helps!
