Explanation:

ok so finding the volume of a prism, the formula for that is volume= base area * height or v=b*h

when I saw this problem I realized that I had to find the base area, in this case it's a hexagon. The formula for a regular polygon is A= 1/2 p*a p is perimeter and a is the apothem.

- I suggest you write those formulas down if you have trouble memorizing them.

So now time for the math!!!

so the perimeter of the hexagon is simply


7 * 6 = 42

and the apothem is the perpendicular line so now simply plug those in to the polygon formula and you get...


42 * 8.1 = 340.2


340.2 / 2 = 170.1

now that you have the base area, simply plug in the height and area into the volume of a prism formula, and you get


170.1 * 21 = 3572.1m ^(3)
