Why do you think Naomi was willing to give up her dress for a flag? Would you give up your most important possession to support a political cause? - this is from battle of Gonzales

Answer:

Back then, it was very hard to get material. You had to travel far to buy it or make it yourself. In their rush, Sarah Seeley, Green DeWitt’s wife, and her daughters, looked for material for a flag. One of the daughters, Naomi, offered up her wedding dress, because she knew that she needed to help and be a cause of ease. If I ever get into such a situation then I'd definitely give up my most important possession for political cause, because after allunch it would benefit me in the long term.

On the night of October 1st, the Texans prepared to fight. They dug up the cannon, and some women in town made a flag. Back then, it was very hard to get material. Me giving up on my most important possession lies on the situation. If the political cause is positive and effective, then yes, I will give up my important possession. But if its for something negative, then I won't give up my most important possession for something that isn't worth the trade.
