Explanation:

Consider any two points , say

  • (1,3)
  • (2,1)

Firstly let's find the slope of the line as ,

=> m = y₁ - y₂ / x₁ - x₂

=> m = 3-1 / 1-2

=> m = 2/-1

=> m = -2

Third point is, (3 , -1) . Using slope point form .

=> y - y₁ = m ( x - x₁ )

=> y - (-1) = -2( x - 3)

=> y + 1 = -2x +6

=> y +2x +1-6=0

=> y +2x -5 = 0

=> y = -2x + 5

On looking at options first one is correct

Hence the equation of line is y = -2x + 5.
