The US government has the power to transform the lives of young people, yet people under the age of 18 cannot vote. Write an essay that argues your viewpoint on this topic. Should people under the age of 18 be allowed to vote? Support your claim with reasons and evidence.

Yes I think they should be able to vote and the reason why is because The drive to lower the voting age from 21 to 18 grew across the country during the 1960s, driven in part by the military draft held during the Vietnam War. A common slogan of proponents of lowering the voting age was "old enough to fight, old enough to vote". Basically I think people should be able to say who they want to vote for. Hope this helps!
