The length of a rectangle is three times it’s width.

The Perimeter of the rectangle is 24cm.
Calculate the area of the triangle

Answer: 27 cm^2

Explanation:

Let the width be w.

Then, the length would be 3*w.

The perimeter of a rectangle is 2*width + 2*length, so in this case it would be 2w + 6w.

We know the perimeter as 24 cm so we can use that to solve for w.

2w + 6w = 24

8w = 24

w = 3 cm

Since the length is 3 times the width, the length is 3*3 = 9 cm

The area of a rectangle is the length*width = 9 cm*3 cm = 27 cm^2.
