y= 2x^2+2x-12

Here,
2x^2+2x-12=0
Or, 2(x^2+x-6)
Or, 2{x^2+(3-2)x-6}
Or, 2(x^2+3x-2x-6)
Or, 2{x(x+3)-2(x+3)}
Or, 2(x+3)(x-2)
So x=-3 and 2
