Answer:

No solution.

given:

  • \sf 6x - 12y = 15

  • \sf 2x - 4y = 6

make x the subject in equation 2:

\hookrightarrow \sf 2x = 6+4y

\hookrightarrow \sf x = (6+4y)/(2)

insert this in equation 1:

\hookrightarrow \sf 6((6+4y)/(2)) - 12y = 15

\hookrightarrow \sf 3(6+4y}) - 12y = 15

\hookrightarrow \sf 18+12y - 12y = 15

\hookrightarrow \sf 18 = 15

\circle \bold \mathrm{\sf \The\:sides\:are\:not\:equal}

y cancels out, thus no solution.
