One number is 3 more than twice another number. The sum of the two numbers is 25. Find the two numbers.

Explanation:

the first number is x

second number is y

x=2y+3

x+y=25

and solve system of equation

so

x=-y+25

-y+25=2y+3

3y=22

y=22/3

x=53/3
