Opposite sides are equal

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow -x+2=72

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow -x=-70

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow x=70

And

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow 3y+1=94

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow 3y=93

\\ \rm\hookrightarrow y=31

Solution:

It should be noted:

  • A rhombus's opposite sides are always equal.

Thus:

  • 3y + 1 = 94
  • -x + 2 = 72

Simplify both equations to find x and y.

Finding x:

  • -x + 2 = 72
  • => -x = 72 - 2
  • => -x = 70
  • => x = -70

Finding y:

  • 3y + 1 = 94
  • => 3y = 94 - 1
  • => 3y = 93
  • => y = 31
