A line passes through the points A and B, whose coordinates are A(5, -5) and B(-10, -11). What is the equation of the line? The equation is given by Ax + Bx = C.

the instruction say put it in this form Ax +Bx = C , but i'm sure they were meant to say this Ax +By = C note the X and Y differences. I'll use the latter form, b/c that's the "standard" form

find the slope:

m = -11 - (-5) / -10-5

m = -11 + 5 / -15

m = -6 / -15

m = 2/5

y-(-5) = 2/5(x-5)

y + 5 = 2x/5 -2

y =
(2)/(5) x - 7

-
(2)/(5) x +y = -7

There you go, the right answer :P
