Sue went to the grocery store. A package of hamburgers contains 6 hamburgers. A pack of hamburger buns contains 8 buns. What is the

least number of packs of buns Sue needs to buy to have the same number of hamburgers and buns?

Answer:

The least common multiple of 8 and 6

burgers: 6, 12, 18, 24

buns: 8, 16, 24

Explanation:

6×8=24

12×2=24

So that is how you get the answer by seeing if they have any integers in common.
