Answer:

Proved , since LHS= RHS

Explanation:

We need to prove the given expression ,

=> 1 + cos x / 1 + sec x = cos x

  • Simplifying LHS.

=> 1 + cos (x) / 1 + sec (x)

=> 1 + cos (x) / 1 + 1/cos (x)

=> 1 + cos (x) ÷ 1 + cos(x) / cos (x)

=> 1 + cos (x) × cos(x) / { 1 + cos (x) }

  • 1 + cos (x) gets cancelled . So we are finally left out with ,

=> cos (x)

= RHS

  • Hence proved !
