Explanation:

A linear equation is given to us and we need to tell the no. of solutions. The equation is ,

=> -2-5x = - ( 5x +2)

If we look at RHS , negative sign is present outside the brackets .On opening the brackets , we have ,

=> -(5x) -(+2)

=> -5x -2

=> -2 - 5x

This is similar to LHS and hence they will represent same line . Hence they will have infinitely many solutions .

They have infinitely many solutions .
