=(5+√(4) )(5-√(4) )\\\\=5(5-√(4) )+√(4) (5-√(4) )\\\\=25-5√(4)+ 5√(4)-4\\\\=25-4\\\\=21

On simplifying the expression we get 21. And 21 is is a rational number because on converting into p/q form we get 21/1. Here both 21 and 1 are rational number. So given expression is rational.
