4x-2y=8

or, 4x = 8+2y

or x = 8+2y/4-----(eq.1)

2x-3y=12-----(eq.2)

Now,

putting value of eq.1 in eq.2, we get

2x-3y=12

or, (8+2y/4)-3y = 12

or, 8-10y/4=12

or, 8-10y=12×4

or,8-10y=48

or,-10y=48-8

or,y=40/-10

or, y = -4

again,

2x-3y=12

or, 2x-3×-4=12

or, 2x+12=12

or, x=0

In 1st option

4x-2y=8

or,4×0-2×-4=8

or,0+8=8

8=8

2x-3y=12

2×0-3×-4=12

0+12=12

12=12

So 1st option is true
