Abbreviations:
T= Time
Vf = Final Velocity
Vo = Initial Velocity
Δx = Displacement (aka distance)
| … | = Absolute Value

Here is 1 Equation for Time
T= (Vf/a) - (Vo/a)

T= | (0/-9.81) - (2.78/-9.81) |
T = 0.283

Time up is the same as time down so multiply by 2.
0.283 * 2 = 0.57

Here is 1 Equation for Displacement
Δx = 0.5 * t^2 * a

Δx = | 0.5 * 0.57^2 * -9.81 |
