Delhi Agreement was held to establish democracy
by ending rana rule in Nepal. King Tribhuvan,
Nepali congress and the ranas had participated in
this agreement held on 1st falgun, 2007 BS.
Therefore it is also called Tripartite agreement.

The main provisions of Delhi agreement are
presented below:

1) An elected constituent assembly shall draft
the democratic constitution in the country.
2) Ten members interim council of ministers
shall be formed under the premiership of
Mohan shumsher with 5 members from the
ranas and 5 from Nepali congress.
3) King Tribhuvan shall be the legitimate king
of Nepal.
4) Agitators shall stop the revolution and hand
over their weapons to the government.
5) General amnesty shall be given to all the
political prisoners.
