The least common multiple (LCM) of two or more non-zero whole numbers is the smallest whole number that is divisible by each of those numbers. In other words, the LCM is the smallest number that all of the numbers divide into evenly. 6y2(7⋅y)

Explanation:

lcm = hcf × remaining expressions

7xy= 7 × x × y

6y² = 6 × y × y

here only y is common in both. so y is the hcf. now, without hcf, the remaining expressions are : 7x and 6y.

so LCM = hcf × remaining expressions

= y × 7x × 6y

= 42xy²
