An explanation of how the Earths continents move (I know it isn’t geography but there isn’t an earth science option)

Answer:

Continents are embedded on tectonic plates. As the tectonic plates move in the ocean, the continents move with them. Something important to remember is that when two continents meet, one is dragged below the other continent.

Continents rest on massive slabs of rock called tectonic plates. The plates are always moving and interacting in a process called plate tectonics. As the seafloor grows wider, the continents on opposite sides of the ridge move away from each other.
