Sine = Opposite / Hypotenuse

Cosine = Adjacent / Hypotenuse

Tangent = Opposite / Adjacent


cos48° : adjacent is 10, and hypotenuse is a


cos48=10/a; a*cos48=10;a=10/cos48

type 10/cos48 into calculator to get a = 14.9


sin48° : opposite is b, and hypotenuse is a


sin48=b/a; sin48=b/14.9; b=14.9*sin48

type 14.9*sin48 into calculator to get b = 11.1
