Using,

A = 1/2bh.............. Equation 1

From the diagram,

Since: Line AB = Line AC.

Where A = Area, b = h

From the question,

Given: A = 50 cm

Substitute into Equation 1

50 = (h²)/2

h² = 50×100

h² = 100

h = √100

h = 10 cm.

There AB = AC = 10 cm

Applying pythagosras theorem,

x² = 10²+10²

x² =100+100

x² = 200

x = √200

x = 10√2 cm
