how can you find the vertex of a parabola if you know it's focus and directrix? in my equation, the focus is (6,4) and the directrix is y=-2​

Answer:

The vertex would be (6,1)

Explanation:

The vertex is the midway between the focus and the directrix. The X of the vertex would be the same but to get the Y of the vertex you would need to take the average of the Y values. (6, 4 + (-2)/2) (6,1)
