Palestine was taken over by Great Britain after WWI and deemed "Israel" before being given to Jews to have a safe haven after WWII. As and more and more Jewish people moved into Israel, the palestinians that lived there were slowly pushed out until or "ethnically cleansed" from the area. Modern day Israel is owned by and filled with jewish people.
