If LM = 20 cm, and PQ = 16 cm, what is the length of RM, in centimeters?

Answer:

RM = 12 cm

Explanation:


a^(2) + b^(2) = c^(2)

Assuming 20 is the hypotenuse cus there is no picture:


a^(2) + 16^(2) = 20^(2)


a^(2) +256 = 400


a^(2) = 144


a=144

If It's not the hypotenuse:


16^(2)+ 20^(2) =c^(2)


256+400 =c^(2)


656=c^(2)


c = 25.61249695

But I find it unlikely that 20 wasn't the hypotenuse so ignore that unless it applies.
