To think about this logically, lets take a different, more simplified example.

Lets say we have two numbers: 4 and 6

The product of these numbers is 24. If we doubled the product, we would get 48.

Using our original equation, how could we get a result of 48? We could double either 4, or 6. 8 times 6 equals 48, and 12 times 4 equals 48.

So, from this we can take away that in an expression, doubling one number will double the answer. On a side note, you could you use this not only when doubling a number. If you tripled a number in an expression, then the answer to the expression would also triple.

So, the answer to your question is (A) - Double one dimension
