If 100 students surveyed, 25 said they would vote for Jen for class president. If 2,000 students voted in the school's election, about how many votes should Jen receive?

C.

The reason is because only a quarter of 100 said they'd vote which is found by doing 25/100 = 1/4 or 25% or .25 (all mean the same)

Apply that to 2000 by doing 2000 x 1/4 (or .25) and it should be 2000 x 1/4 = 500

Answer:

500 Votes

Explanation:

25/100 = 0.25

500/2000 = 0.25

Therefore 500 students would vote for Jen.
