- Thousands of people in the rural areas of Georgia on the farms moved North after WW2 in hope of better jobs. - This caused an immense change in the people that worked on the farms, and farms had to condense so there wasn't so much unused land. -This was a law passed in 1944 that allowed soldiers to go to college
