h = -16t² + 32t + 3

We are to find the maximum height reached by the man;

At the max height dh/dt = -32t + 32

v(t) = -32t + 32

0 = -32t + 32

32t = 32

t = 32/32

t = 1.sec

Substitute t = 1 into the expression given

h = -16(1)² + 32(1) + 3

h = -16 + 35

h = 19feet

Hence the maximum height reached by the man is 19feet
