the length of a rectangle is four times it's width.if the perimeter is 70cm. Calculate the length and area of the rectangle​

Explanation:

width of rectangle(w)=x let

length (l)=4x

perimeter of rectangle=70

2(l+w)=70

2(4x+x)=70

8x+2x=70

10x=70

x=70/10

x=7

again,

  • length =4x=4×7=28cm
  • width=x=7

area of rectangle =l×w

  • 7×28
  • 196cm²
