Angle at the vertex is the half of the difference of the angles at its intercepted arcs

Angle at the vertex = 24 degrees

difference of the angles at its intercepted arcs = 118 - x

According to the theorem;

24 = 1/2(118 - x)

Cross multiply

24 * 2 = 118 - x

48 = 118 - x

x = 118 - 48

x = 70degrees

Hence the value of x is 70degrees
