Thus,

For longer footpath, there will be two sides. Thus; area = 2(24 + 2 + 2) × 2 = 112 m²

For shorter footpath, since the 2 longer sides have been taken care of, length remains 16m. Then area = 2(16 × 2) = 64 m²

Total area = 112 + 64 = 176 m²
