- If you are hungry, eat a piece of fruit.
- Don’t eat candy because it isn’t good for you.
- Please don’t eat so many potato chips.
- It isn’t healthy to eat so much cake.
(if you can, please explain an in-depth definition of subjunctive sentences, I am having trouble understanding and identifying them)

First conditional is used to talk about actions/events in the future which are likely to happen or have a real possibility of happening. for example, "If it rains tomorrow, I'll stay at home."

Its kind of like a cause and effect thing

This is because if you are hungry you need to eat. Hungry and eat are very similar.
