Answer:

50 Nickels, 90 pennys, 100 dimes

Explanation:

x = Nickels

x+40+x+x2=240

Add similar elements x+2x+x=4x

4x+40=240

Subtract 40 both sides

4x+40-40=240-40

4x =200

Divide Both sides by 4

4x/4 = 200/4

x=50
