Or could be looked at as:

18,942+9,188

So lets go from right to left, to find the answer

8+2=10

So we know the ones place is 0.

Next we have the tens place, 8+4+(ten from last number)=13

So know we got: 30.

This gets rid of answer A.

Next we have the hundreds place, 1+9+(hundred from last number) = 11

So know we got: 130

Next we have the thousands, which is 9+8+(thousand from last number) = 18

So now we have 8,130

Well, we already get our answer from this. Since it uliminates C and D, in addition to A. With only B left.

But if we go further:

Next we have the ten thousands, which is 1+(ten thousands from last number)=2
