rectangular living room measures 16.8 ft by 24.3 ft. Each roll of carpet
covers 80 square feet. How many rolls does the carpeter need to buy to cover the room

Answer:

5.1 (Rounded down to 5)

Explanation:

What you do first is

16.8 * 24.3

this is 408.24

now you do 408.24 / 80 which is 5.1

Obviously you cant by 0.1 of a roll but you could just round that down to 5, then the little bit that isnt covered you could just buy a smaller roll of carpet or something
