Answer:

a) y = -(2/3)x - 4

b) x-intercept = -6

y-intercept = -4

Explanation:

Slope intercept form is

y = mx + b

4x + 6y + 24 = 0

Subtract 4x + 24 from both sides

6y = -4x - 24

Divide both sides by 6

y = -(2/3)x - 4

-------------------------------------

X intercept

at the x intercept y = 0

0 = (-2/3)x - 4

add (2/3) x to both sides

(2/3)x = - 4

Multiply both sides by 3/2

x = -12/2

x = -6

----------------------------

Y intercept

at the y-intercept x = 0

y = -(2/3)0 - 4

y =-4
