whole number: 648.722 = 649

Explanation:

When you are rounding to the given place they give you, you always look at the next digit on the right side of it and see if it's 5 or greater (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) then you would round the decimal place up 1 and leave the rest of the digits after it 0, though if it was below 5(4, 3, 2, 1, 0) then you would round the number as it is and leave the rest of the digits after it 0 as well.

To round a number to the nearest position, we must consider the number after that position. If it is greater than 5, we must round up and vice versa

1. 29.526 --> 29.5

2. 71.284 --> 71.28

3. 648.722 --> 648
