For the company to break even, the number of units sold is 500 units

Explanation:

To get this number of units, we simply substitute the value of 0 for p

we have this as;

0 =x^2 -2500

x^2 = 2500

x = √2500

x = 500 (we do not consider the other root of x = -500 since the number of quantities cannot be negative)
