Explanation:

In the end behavior of quadratic functions, the graph will either rise or fall as x increases infinitely. Likewise it will also rise or fall as x decreases infinitely.

Now, when x increases or decreases up to infinity(∞) and f(x) increases up to infinity (∞), it is said to be an even powered function and thus the degree is said to be even.

Similarly, when x increases up to infinity(∞) and f(x) increases up to infinity(∞), it is said to be an odd powered function and degree is odd.
